GM crops reduce the use of pesticides, often increase yield, and now improve nitrogen use efficiency. This study and meta-analysis focused on rice, maize and wheat...if these three crops were planted using GM varieties worldwide, we would feed 800 million more people and use less nitrogen along the way.
